Jose Iglesias (wrist) remains on Tigers' sidelines Wednesday

Detroit Tigers shortstop Jose Iglesias remains out of the starting lineup on Wednesday afternoon against the New York Yankees.

What It Means:

Iglesias hasn't played since spraining his right wrist during Monday's series opener. Dixon Machado got the nod on Tuesday, but Andrew Romine will be starting at shortstop and batting ninth this afternoon against right-hander Masahiro Tanaka and the Yankees.

Over 87 games this season, Iglesias is slashing .263/.295/.364 with 35 RBI, 43 runs scored, and 6 steals in 335 plate appearances (PA). numberFire's models project him to turn in a .267 batting average with 14 RBI, 21 runs scored, and 4 steals in 185 remaining PA in 2017.
