Reds recall Phillip Ervin from Triple-A Louisville
The Cincinnati Reds have recalled outfielder Phillip Ervin from Triple-A Louisville, so says MLB.com's Mark Sheldon.
As the Reds sent Scott Schebler to the disabled list with a left shoulder injury, it will be Ervin in the Reds' outfield rotation for the time being.
In 377 plate appearances, Ervin has hit 7 home runs with a .249/.320/.371 triple slash at Triple-A this season. He's 0-for-2 in 3 major league plate appearances with Cincinnati.
