John Hicks called up, starting for Tigers versus Yankees
Detroit Tigers first baseman/catcher John Hicks is in Tuesday's starting lineup against the New York Yankees.
Hicks was recalled from Triple-A Toledo on Monday and he will start at first base while batting seventh versus Yankees left-hander CC Sabathia. He hasn't seen any major league action in over a month. The White Sox will use Miguel Cabrera at designated hitter while Victor Martinez is available off the bench.
Sabathia owns a 18.7 strikeout percentage and 9.1 walk percentage this season, so he's someone to possibly target in what is expected to be a batter-friendly matchup (10.0 over/under, 1.048 park factor) on Tuesday evening. numberFire's models project Hicks to score 9.4 FanDuel points at a cost of $2,000, making him an excellent value proposition for DFS.
