Jordan Montgomery odd man out in Yankees' rotation
New York Yankees pitcher Jordan Montgomery is likely the odd man out with the addition of Sonny Gray to the Yankees' rotation.
What It Means:
Manager Joe Girardi has said that he doesn't intend to use a six-man rotation, so Montgomery will either move to the bullpen or head to Triple-A to continue starting.
In 20 starts, Montgomery has won 7 games with a 4.01 FIP and 8.46 strikeouts per 9 innings.
