Dustin Pedroia (knee) may wind up on Red Sox' disabled list
Boston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia (knee) could be placed on the disabled list.
Pedroia has missed three straight contests due to soreness in his left knee. A specialist will determine whether or not the issue warrants a stint on the DL. Eduardo Nunez is filling the void at second base again on Monday for Boston.
The 33-year-old veteran is slashing .307/.381/.411 with 6 homers, 54 RBI, and 4 steals in 383 plate appearances (85 games) this season. numberFire's models project Pedroia to post a .308 average, with 3 home runs, 21 RBI, and 3 steals in over 223 plate appearances remaining this season.
