Astros, Blue Jays talking Francisco Liriano
The Houston Astros are talking to the Toronto Blue Jays about pitcher Francisco Liriano, according to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal.
The two teams appear close to working out a deal that would likely land Liriano in a relief role in Houston. The Astros also remain active in other areas of the deadline market.
In 18 starts with Toronto, the 33-year-old Liriano has gone 6-5 with a 4.72 FIP and 0.8 WAR. His 8.06 strikeouts per 9 are his lowest mark since 2011.
