Yonder Alonso out Friday for Oakland
Oakland Athletics first baseman Yonder Alonso is out of the lineup Friday for the A's.
With Minnesota Twins lefty Jaime Garcia on the bump, Oakland is going with a lineup heavy on right-handed sticks. Ryon Healy is sliding across the diamond to cover first while Matt Chapman assumes duties at the hot corner.
Garcia has a 4.54 SIERA, but he's held right-handed hitters to a .319 wOBA this season. The sample size is small, but Chapman has been red-hot in July, mashing his way to a 37.2% hard-hit rate and 60.5% fly-ball rate this month.
