Texas Rangers outfielder Carlos Gomez is starting in centerfield Friday night.
Gomez sat for the Rangers' last game on Wednesday, but he's back in the fold tonight, hitting seventh against Baltimore Orioles right-hander Chris Tillman. Drew Robinson, who started in center Friday, is sitting out.
The Rangers boast a slate-leading 6.12 implied total against Tillman, who owns a 10.3% walk rate and 5.47 SIERA, so they're a team to target. Gomez has been a reverse-splits hitter in 2017, racking up a .350 wOBA and 44.4% hard-hit rate versus righties.
