Mallex Smith starting, leading off as Tampa Bay takes on Yankees
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Mallex Smith is starting on Friday versus the New York Yankees.
Smith, who is batting just .154 (6-for-39) so far in the second half, returns after getting Thursday off. He'll start in center field and lead things off against Yankees right-hander Masahiro Tanaka. Peter Bourjos will head back to the Rays' bench.
The Rays don't offer too much fantasy upside on Friday, as they have one of the lowest implied totals (3.94 runs) on the entire slate. numberFire's models project Smith to score 10.6 FanDuel points at a cost of $3,200.
