New York Mets outfielder Curtis Granderson is starting in right field and batting sixth versus the San Diego Padres on Thursday.
With the trade of Lucas Duda on Thursday, Jay Bruce may see more time at first base, opening up more playing time for Granderson who has been relegated to a reserve role as of late.
With Granderson batting just .143 (5-for-35) without a home run over the last month and the Mets playing the most pitcher friendly park (.839 park factor), the outfielder makes for a risky play on Thursday even with a price tag of just $2,300.
