Brandon Guyer moves up to second in Rays' order Wednesday
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Brandon Guyer has been moved up to the second spot in the order for Wednesday's game against the Baltimore Orioles.
Guyer's constant pinballing between the top and bottom of the lineup continues after he hit eighth on Tuesday and leadoff on Monday. Grady Sizemore is in the leadoff spot for the second consecutive day.
The Rays get Orioles right-handed pitcher Kevin Gausman Wednesday. Gausman has a 3.89 xFIP for the season, but he has reined in the walks over his past eight starts, lowering his xFIP over that time to 3.42. Gausman has, however, exhibited reverse splits with his xFIP for the season at 4.30 against righties as opposed to 3.54 against lefties.
