Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's road clash with the Washington Nationals.
It's a routine day off for Braun, who is a career 0-for-13 with 5 strikeouts against Nationals' ace Max Scherzer, and Hernan Perez will take his place in left field this afternoon.
Braun has turned in a strong season so far, with a .370 wOBA, 12 home runs and 33 RBI in 50 games. numberFire's models project him to bat .276 and tally another 6 home runs and 18 RBI in 132 plate appearances over the remainder of the season.
