Brewers acquire Anthony Swarzak from White Sox

The Milwaukee Brewers have acquired right-handed reliever Anthony Swarzak from the Chicago White Sox, according to FanRag Sports' Jon Heyman.

What It Means:

In exchange for the 31-year-old arm, the Brewers are sending outfielder Ryan Cordell to the White Sox. Given that Swarzak will be up for free agency in three months, he's more than likely a rental for Milwaukee.

Across 48 1/3 innings, Swarzak is 4-3 with 1 save and 10 holds on the year. Holding opponents to a .214 average and stranding 80.5% of baserunners, look for him to improve the Brewers' bullpen down the stretch.
