Brian McCann not starting for on Tuesday night for Houston
Houston Astros catcher Brian McCann is not starting on Tuesday versus the Philadelphia Phillies.
What It Means:
McCann will be replaced behind the plate by Evan Gattis for Tuesday night's battle with right-hander Nick Pivetta and the Phillies. Fellow righty Charlie Morton will be on the hill for Houston.
McCann is slashing .250/.328/.450 with 13 home runs and 48 RBI in 274 plate appearances (64 games) this season. numberFire's models project him to turn in a .250 batting average with 7 taters and 23 RBI in 175 plate appearances over the remainder of the year.
