Alex Meyer (shoulder) placed on Angels' disabled list
Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Alex Meyer was placed on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to July 20, with right shoulder inflammation.
What It Means:
Meyer has a history of shoulder issues, but hopefully this won't turn into a long-term absence. He's gone 4-5 in 13 starts this season.
The 27-year-old right-hander owns a 3.74 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, and 25.7 strikeout percentage over 67 1/3 innings this year.
