Andrew Benintendi not starting for Boston on Monday
Boston Red Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi is not starting on Monday night versus the Seattle Mariners.
It's likely just a breather for Benintendi, who currently finds himself in the middle of a 2-for-21 drought over his past six games. He's still slashing a solid .267/.349/.419 with 12 home runs, 54 RBI, and 9 steals in 399 plate appearances (93 games) this season. Brock Holt is in left field and Dustin Pedroia is starting at second base for Boston in Monday night's series opener against left-hander James Paxton and the Mariners.
numberFire's models project Benintendi to turn in a .275 batting average with 4 homers, 24 RBI, and 5 steals over 239 plate appearances for the remainder of the year.
