Blue Jays acquire Rob Refsnyder from Yankees
The Toronto Blue Jays acquired utility player Rob Refsnyder from the New York Yankees in exchange for first baseman Ryan McBroom.
Refsnyder owns a career .241/.312/.332 slash over 262 plate appearances in the majors (94 games). At least for now, the 26-year-old will head to Triple-A Buffalo. McBroom hit 243/.321/.402 with 12 dingers for Double-A New Hampshire this season.
Prior to the deal, Refsnyder slashed .312/.390/.464 in 159 plate appearances (38 games) this year for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.
