Joe Panik sitting as Giants take on Padres
San Francisco Giants second baseman Joe Panik is not starting on Sunday versus the San Diego Padres.
What It Means:
Miguel Gomez is making just the second major league start of his career on Sunday afternoon, so Panik will sit down in the series finale against right-hander Dinelson Lamet and the Padres. He's slashing .266/.323/.394 over 372 plate appearances (89 games) this season.
