Los Angeles Angels first baseman/designated hitter Albert Pujols is not starting against the Boston Red Sox on Sunday.

What It Means:

This will be the first off-day of the second half for Pujols, who is slashing .243/.291/.390 with 14 home runs and 59 RBI across 382 plate appearances (90 games) in what is his 17th season in the majors. Yunel Escobar is handling DH duties for the Angels while Luis Valbuena mans the hot corner. C.J. Cron is drawing another start on first base.
