Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Gregor Blanco is not starting on Friday night versus the Washington Nationals.
Blanco replaced A.J. Pollock in center field on Thursday night, but he's back on the bench for tonight's series opener against right-hander Max Scherzer and the Nationals. The 33-year-old veteran is slashing .253/.333/.407 with 7 steals in 168 plate appearances (52 games) this season.
numberFire's models project Blanco to record a .240 batting average while stealing 5 more bases in 113 remaining plate appearances in 2017.
