Texas Rangers first/third baseman Joey Gallo is starting at first base and batting ninth on Friday.
Gallo sat out with a southpaw on the mound Thursday but is back at first base with righty Alex Cobb facing Texas on Friday. Mike Napoli will shift to DH to make room.
