Brandon Phillips leaves Braves' victory early with hamstring injury
Atlanta Braves second baseman Brandon Phillips left Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers with right hamstring tightness.
Phillips went 1-for-3 with a triple and a run scored before exiting in the sixth inning. It's likely a non-concern for the 36-year-old veteran, but consider him day-to-day for now. Johan Camargo replaced Phillips at second base on Thursday while Dansby Swanson took over at shortstop for Camargo.
On the season, Phillips is slashing .294/.338/.446 with 8 home runs and 8 steals in 86 games. numberFire's models project him to record a .294 batting average with 5 more homers and another 7 steals in 255 remaining plate appearances.
