Detroit Tigers outfielder Mikie Mahtook is starting in center field for Thursday night's matchup with the Kansas City Royals.
After a day off, Mahtook will return to play center and hit fifth against Kansas City's Danny Duffy. His return sends Alex Presley to the Detroit bench.
