Cubs' Kris Bryant leaves Wednesday's game with finger injury
Chicago Cubs third baseman/outfielder Kris Bryant left Wednesday afternoon's game against the Atlanta Braves with an apparent finger injury.
Sliding head first into third base, Bryant jammed his finger into Johan Camargo's foot in the top of the first. He appeared to be a fair amount of pain as he left the field. The nature and severity of the injury are unknown at this time. Tommy La Stella took over at third base for Bryant, which he would likely do if Bryant is set to miss any time moving forward.
In 59 plate appearances, Bryant owns a .411 wOBA with 3 home runs and 9 walks in the month of July. If healthy, our models project him for 13 home runs, 39 RBI and .288 average over the remainder of the season.
