Minnesota Twins catcher Jason Castro is not starting on Wednesday versus the New York Yankees.
The Twins will start Chris Gimenez behind the plate on Wednesday afternoon, making Castro available off the bench. He's gone 2-for-14 (.143) with a pair of doubles and 9 strikeouts to start the second half, bringing him to a .218/.313/.364 slash in 256 plate appearances (PA) overall this season.
numberFire's models project Castro to record a .233 batting average in 182 PA over the remainder of the year.
