Yoan Moncada to be called up Wednesday for White Sox
The Chicago White Sox are calling up top infield prospect Yoan Moncada, reports Dan Hayes of CSNChicago.com.
Moncada, the top-ranked minor leaguer in all of baseball, is expected to get the start at third base for his first major league appearance of the 2017 season. The roster spot became available on Tuesday as a result of the White Sox sending Todd Frazier to the New York Yankees as part of a seven-player deal. He's an immediate fantasy asset in all formats.
The 22-year-old phenom slashed .282/.377/.447 with 12 home runs, 36 RBI, 57 runs scored, and 17 stolen bases through 80 games this season at Triple-A Charlotte.
