Seattle Mariners catcher Mike Zunino is not starting on Tuesday versus the Houston Astros.
Carlos Ruiz will fill in behind the plate for Seattle, allowing Zunino to take a seat. The 26-year-old backstop is slashing .233/.297/.470 with 13 home runs, 39 RBI, and 28 runs scored in 236 plate appearances (67 games) this season.
numberFire's models project Zunino to record a .231 batting average with 9 taters, 26 RBI, and 19 runs scored in 174 more plate appearances over the remainder of the year.
