Colorado's Ian Desmond absent from lineup on Tuesday
Colorado Rockies outfielder Ian Desmond is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's contest against the San Diego Padres.
Since being activated from the disabled list on Sunday, Desmond has played the Rockies' last two games. On Tuesday, he'll take his first break and allow Carlos Gonzalez to re-enter the lineup. He will play right while Gerardo Parra fields left.
In the two games since his return, Desmond is 3-for-5 with 3 walks in 8 plate appearances. We project him for 3 home runs, 18 RBI and 6 stolen bases the remainder of the season.
