Jose Iglesias not in Detroit's lineup on Tuesday
Detroit Tigers shortstop Jose Iglesias is absent from Tuesday's starting lineup versus the Kansas City Royals.
It's likely just a standard day of rest for Iglesias, who will be replaced at shortstop by Dixon Machado in Tuesday's matchup with left-hander Travis Wood and the Royals. Iglesias is slashing .255/.285/.349 in 291 plate appearances (76 games) this season.
numberFire's models project Iglesias to record a .266 batting average in 223 plate appearances over the remainder of the year.
