Xander Bogaerts scratched from Boston's lineup on Tuesday
Boston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts has been scratched from the club's lineup on Tuesday against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Bogaerts was originally in the sixth spot for Boston, but it looks like he's getting the day off for now. There is no word on an injury yet, but the 24-year-old has been struggling of late. Deven Marrero will play shortstop while Brock Holt enters the lineup at third base.
Over the remainder of the year, our numbers expect Bogaerts to add 5 home runs and 28 RBI, with a .295 average in 265 plate appearances for the Sox.
