Red Sox push Doug Fister's start back to Thursday
Boston Red Sox pitcher Doug Fister will start Thursday versus the Toronto Blue Jays.
Fister was originally scheduled to toe the rubber Tuesday for Boston, but he's been pushed back after providing 2 2/3 innings of relief during Saturday's 16-inning loss to the New York Yankees. Chris Sale has also been bumped back a day to Friday. Brian Johnson will make a spot start tonight as the Red Sox take on J.A. Happ and the Blue Jays in a battle of left-handed hurlers.
Fister owns a 6.75 ERA, 1.79 WHIP, and 18.3 strikeout percentage in 4 games (3 starts) for the Red Sox this season.
