Oakland Athletics catcher/first baseman Stephen Vogt is out of Monday's lineup for the A's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Mark Canha is getting the start at first with Josh Phegley behind the plate. With Oakland playing in Arizona, Vogt can't serve as the team's designated hitter.
Vogt -- who hit his 18th homer on Sunday -- is in the midst of a career-best season. His previous career-high for home runs was nine, which he set last year. His wOBA is up to a career-high .345, which is third among all catchers. Our projections have him with a .772 OPS and four jacks the rest of the way.
