Joe Mauer at first base on Monday for Minnesota
Minnesota Twins first baseman Joe Mauer is starting versus the New York Yankees on Monday.
Mauer will man first base and bat third versus right-hander Bryan Mitchell. He went 1-for-5 with 3 strikeouts on Saturday in his first game back from a short 10-day stint on the disabled list due to a lower back strain. Kennys Vargas is at DH for Minnesota while Miguel Sano is on the hot corner and Eduardo Escobar grabs a seat on the bench.
Despite the Twins' attractive implied total (5.00 runs), Mauer doesn't make for the best DFS play tonight, as numberFire's models project him to score only 7.5 FanDuel points at a cost of $3,100.
