Chicago Cubs catcher/leftfielder Kyle Schwarber is back in the lineup for tonight's game against the Cincinnati Reds.
Schwarber got the night off Sunday against lefty Alex Wood. With Michael Lorenzen on the hill for the Reds, Schwarber, a righty killer, is back in there. He's hitting second and catching.
In the 45 games and 179 plate appearances since being called up, the rookie has a sparkling .387 wOBA with 12 home runs. He does have some crazy platoon splits. His wOBA against righties is an absurd .445 while it's just .250 versus lefties.
