Steve Johnson to join Orioles on Tuesday
Baltimore Orioles pitcher Steve Johnson is expected to join the big-league club on Tuesday.
What It Means:
He'll be part of the club's first wave of September callups.
Johnson has not appeared in a major league game since 2013, but he boasts a 2.30 ERA, 1.079 WHIP, and 67/16 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 54 2/3 innings this season at Triple-A Norfolk. The 28-year-old right-hander should do well in a middle relief role over the final month of the 2015 campaign.
