Giants' Madison Bumgarner (shoulder) dominates in rehab start Monday

San Francisco Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner (shoulder) put together a dominant performance in a rehab start at High-A San Jose on Monday.

What It Means:

With 86 pitches in six innings, Bumgarner struck out eight and allowed just one unearned run on two hits. That should be a real confidence booster as Bumgarner gets set to return to the Giants' rotation on Saturday in San Diego.

For the rest of the year, numberFire projects MadBum for a 3-3 record, 3.83 ERA and 43 strikeouts in 49 innings of work.
