The Cleveland Indians placed second baseman Jason Kipnis on the 10-day disabled list with a right hamstring strain.
Kipnis hurt himself running out a groundball on Saturday and will be out for at least a few games beyond the All-Star break. The severity of the injury is unknown with the club likely re-evaluating their second baseman next weekend.
Kipnis has disappointed through the first half of the season, slashing .232/.292/.402 with a .296 wOBA and 32 runs scored in 283 plate appearances so far.
