Kansas City Royals infielder Ramon Torres is not starting on Saturday against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The 24-year-old rookie has gone 12-for-39 (.308) in 13 games since being called up from Triple-A Omaha last month. He'll be replaced by Whit Merrifield at second base on Saturday. Jorge Bonifacio is stepping in at left field.
numberFire's models project Torres to turn in a .243 batting average in just 42 plate appearances over the remainder of the season.
