Johnny Giavotella making first start for Orioles on Saturday
Baltimore Orioles infielder Johnny Giavotella is in Saturday's starting lineup against the Minnesota Twins.
The Orioles purchased Giavotella's contract from Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday. He's gone 1-for-2 with a strikeout and a steal in two pinch-hitting appearances over the past two games, but this will be his first big league start for Baltimore. The 29-year-old infielder is at second base and batting eighth for the Orioles versus Twins left-hander Adalberto Mejia. Jonathan Schoop is at shortstop while Ruben Tejada is out of the lineup.
The Orioles have an implied total of 5.15 runs in a matchup with an 11.0 over/under, so they're a lineup worth targeting. numberFire's models project Giavotella to score 8.1 FanDuel points on Saturday.
