Ruben Tejada not in Baltimore's lineup on Thursday night
Baltimore Orioles shortstop Ruben Tejada is out of the lineup on Thursday versus the Minnesota Twins.
Tejada will take a seat for the second time in three games. Paul Janish is starting at shortstop and batting ninth for Baltimore in Thursday's series opener against Twins right-hander Jose Berrios.
Tejada is slashing .204/.259/.241 in 20 games this season. numberFire's models project him to turn in a .202 batting average in 120 plate appearances over the remainder of the year.
