Rays' Tim Beckham scratched on Thursday
Tampa Bay Rays second baseman Tim Beckham has been scratched from Thursday's lineup against the Boston Red Sox.
Beckham was originally slated to start at second base and bat sixth against Red Sox ace Chris Sale, and Taylor Featherston will take his place in the field and bat sixth in his place.
Beckham has posted a .326 wOBA through 75 games in 2017, and numberFire's models project him to bat .249 and add 7 home runs and 25 RBI in 234 plate appearances over the remainder of the season.
