Jordy Mercer not starting on Thursday for Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop Jordy Mercer will not be starting on Thursday night versus the Philadelphia Phillies.
What It Means:
Mercer will take a seat, opening up a starting spot for Max Moroff in the starting lineup. Moroff is eighth in the Pirates' lineup against Phillies right-hander Jeremy Hellickson.
The 30-year-old shortstop is slashing .266/.342/.420 with 8 home runs and 32 RBI in 82 games this season.
