Detroit Tigers shortstop Jose Iglesias is out of Thursday's starting lineup against the San Francisco Giants.
Iglesias is hitless in three straight games (0-for-10), so the Tigers will give him the day off. He's batting .241/.276/.337 in 69 contests on the year. Dixon Machado is starting at shortstop and batting ninth against the Giants on Thursday.
numberFire's models project Iglesias to record a .260 batting average in 245 plate appearances over the remainder of the season.
