Yankees' Chris Carter out of the lineup on Wednesday
New York Yankees first baseman Chris Carter is not in the lineup for Wednesday afternoon's home game against the Toronto Blue Jays.
The Yankees designated Carter for assignment on Tuesday, and he's being replaced at first base today by Ji-Man Choi, who was called up from Triple-A after Carter's DFA. Choi will seventh against Blue Jays' righty Marco Estrada.
Carter really struggled from the dish this year, slashing .201/.284/.370 with a .284 wOBA through 208 plate appearances.
