Cardinals interested in Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson
The St. Louis Cardinals have shown interest in Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson, according to FOX Sports' Jon Morosi.
Though there have been no formal trade discussions, between the two teams, with the Blue Jays dead last in the AL East, Donaldson will be subject to rumors leading up to the July 31st deadline. You have to think that other teams will join the discussion as the deadline inches closer.
Due to early-season injuries, Donaldson has just 8 home runs and 20 RBI in 42 games. numberFire's algorithms project the slugger for 9 more dingers and 28 RBI the rest of the season.
