Jason Castro (strained quad) lands on the DL

Houston Astros placed catcher Jason Castro on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right quad.

What It Means:

Castro suffered the injury on Friday night, and will be out until at least the middle of September. Max Stassi was called up from Triple-A Fresno to take Castro's roster spot.

Castro has hit poorly this season, even by catcher standards. His .220 batting average and 29.4% strikeout rate weren't helping the Astros or fantasy owners. Stassi at least has some power and on-base percentage upside, but his profile is very swing-and-miss as well.
