Toronto's Aaron Sanchez (blister) shaky in Triple-A rehab start
Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Aaron Sanchez (blister) allowed four runs over 4 1/3 innings in a minor league rehab start with Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday.
Sanchez was hit five times while walking three and striking out four in an underwhelming 76-pitch performance. Either way, he was able to get it through it and remains on track to rejoin the rotation for this weekend's home series with the Houston Astros. The 25-year-old right-hander has been out since May 19 due to a lingering blister issue.
Across just 24 1/3 innings this year, Sanchez posted a 3.33 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and 18 strikeouts while going 0-1 in five starts.
