Paul DeJong sitting on Sunday night for Cardinals
St. Louis Cardinals infielder Paul DeJong is out of the starting lineup on Sunday against the Washington Nationals.
This will be DeJong's first game out of the lineup since he was recalled from Triple-A Memphis on June 15. He's gone 18-for-62 (.290) with five home runs in that 16-game stretch. Alex Mejia is starting at shortstop and Greg Garcia is on second base for the Cardinals.
numberFire's models project DeJong to record a .248 batting average in 122 plate appearances over the remainder of the season.
