Diamondbacks' Yasmany Tomas suffers setback with groin
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Yasmany Tomas will be re-evaluated after being pulled from a rehab game Saturday following a setback with his right groin.
The 26-year-old outfielder felt tightness in his groin while sliding into second base following a double. Tomas hasn't played since June 2 due to a groin issue and he wasn't close to a return even before this setback.
Tomas is hitting .241/.294/.464 with a .319 wOBA through 180 plate appearances in 2017. He has 8 home runs and 39 RBI while striking out at a career-high 27.8 percent rate.
