Chicago Cubs third baseman Jeimer Candelario (knee) is not in the lineup on Friday.
Candelario took a pitch off his knee on Thursday but was able to stay in the game. X-Rays came back negative as well, but the Cubs will play it safe and sit the rookie out on Friday. Javier Baez will man the hot corner versus the Cincinnati Reds.
Our models believe the third baseman will not be up in the big leagues for long as they project only 26 plate appearances, and a .130 batting average for Candelario the rest of the season.
